Longtime PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida retired from the company on January 15, and as part of his departure, he sat down for a lengthy interview to discuss a range of topics pertaining to his time at the gaming giant. A new report has revealed the jaw-dropping sum of money that Microsoft reportedly spends each year to encourage third-party developers and publishers to bring their games to Xbox Game Pass.

Bloomberg reported that, “Microsoft now spends $1 billion a year getting third-party games on the subscription service.” The site said Microsoft offers “flat fees of millions of dollars upfront” to add titles from smaller publishers to Game Pass.

GameSpot has contacted Microsoft in an effort to get more details on this. Presumably Microsoft would pay more for a developer to bring a new release to Game Pass at launch compared to a licensing arrangement for an older title.

Season 1 of The Acolyte has been strange. The production values are great, the performances excellent, the action freakin’ awesome. But now that the finale has aired, the response is pretty negative across the board because it doesn’t really add up. In other words, we don’t really know what’s actually going on in this series. We watched a bunch of stuff happen, and it was cool to see, but it’s impossible to know what any of it means because we don’t have enough information.

At long last, The Sixth Sense and Signs are finally getting the 4K Blu-ray treatment this year. Both films are being restored in HDR from their original camera negatives, and if you’re looking to watch M. Night Shyamalan’s breakout hit and one of his weirder flicks, you can preorder them now at Amazon ahead of their October 22 release. Both releases are currently priced at $46, but you can expect the price to drop before they arrive, and you’ll be charged the lowest offered price when your preorder ships. Along with 4K discs, these releases come with standard Blu-ray and digital copies. The new editions arrive shortly before Shyamalan’s latest film, Trap, releases on 4K Blu-ray.

There was a 22-year gap between the first Jumanji, and its 2017 sequel, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. So a seven-year gap between the third film, 2019’s Jumanji: The Next Level, and the fourth movie isn’t that bad by comparison. Now, Sony has set the date for the next Jumanji… which it’s listing as “Jumanji 3″for now.

Jumanji 3 will hit theaters on December 11, 2026. It’s more than likely that the film’s final title will forgo the 3 altogether, just as The Next Level was released without a 2 in its name.
